HOW IT WORKS
-
I’d love to start by getting to know you better. This way I can understand your business needs, or editorial goals that I need to address through photography.
Together, we will look at your visual inspiration or references to make sure we’re on the same page. Click on “Get In Touch” below so we can set up a video call or in-person coffee for that.
Till then, you can download this brief to guide you through your thought process, then e-mail it back to me at hello@amrassaid.com -
Based on our meeting, I will prepare a visual mood board for you. This way we can find together your Top 5 looks. I will use your Top 5 to come up with a visual concept that suits you best, and serves your business goals.
The mood board is a living document that we can add to as we go further in the project. For example, we can add photos of specific outfits or accessories we wish to include in the final photographs. -
Sometimes it is worth exploring a concept further through a full visual treatment, including images obtained with the help of artificial intelligence. This method ensures we push the limits of our imagination and go the extra mile in our styling, location, make-up or lighting.

Now that we have agreed on the look & feel for your shoot, we’ll talk figures. My quotation will be in light of the following —
1. How ambitious the shoot will be (in terms of days, brand equity, etc).
2. How many models will be photographed.
3. How many looks per model will be covered.
4. How big or small my crew needs to be for the job.
5. Where you anticipate to use / publish the photographs.
6. How many extra photographs you wish to have retouched.
7. Whether we’re exporting for large scale print or typical digital use.
Please be aware that 50% non-refundable down payment of the full quotation will be due at least 3 days prior to the shooting day to confirm the job. An initial invoice will be emailed to you to reflect that. -
Do you have a location you can secure for us to have the photo shoot at? Wonderful! If not, we can discuss whether we wish to rent a professional studio, or rent an interesting location instead. The quotation will include a separate item reflecting the cost of renting a studio or location.
-
When needed, we will dedicate a day to test the look & feel of each model in light of the outfits secured by our stylist. In this scenario, we will need a final approval for each outfit before the shooting day. This is especially important for fashion and conceptual shoots.
-
I will arrive with the agreed number of crew members to the location or studio, bringing in my own lighting equipment when necessary. Typically I anticipate 45-60 minutes per person on a corporate shoot, and longer for fashion or editorial shoots, just to break the ice, get in the mood and try out different looks, outfits, and lighting set ups until we reach the sweet spot.
On average, expect a shoot to run between 3 and 6 hours per day. Ambitious shoots may run as long as 10 hours. Shoots in excess of 3 hours need to include a crew lunch break covered in the quotation. -
Within 3 working days from the shooting day, a watermarked batch of my recommended photographs will be shared with you online for review. You will have 5 business days to review and select your favorite 4 images per model.
These 4 high-resolution digital images per person are included in the original quotation. They will be treated in post-production, retouched and delivered with a watermark for your review. -
Upon approval, the final high-resolution images will be delivered to you along with an invoice reflecting the remainder of the quote and any pending fees or extras (such as additional retouching of extra photos).
All raw images agreed upon will be made available to you either via WeTransfer or mailed to you on an SD card via postage. SD cards will incur additional costs included in the quotation.
